“I assure you I am more than insane…I am illuminated.” – Cockhammer

As independent filmmakers derivative only of themselves, Hack Movies offers up another boobs-to-the wall exercise with their latest splattery wonder, Cockhammer.

After depleting the prostitute population of Strangeville as sacrifices in his gambit to become a darklord of the 17th Dimension, porn producer Cockhammer kidnaps two amorous locals, hoping to make them the final pieces in his ultimate plan. But when their sex loving, drugged out boyfriends come hunting for them, the demons may not be the only things kicking some asses!

Filled to the brim with hit men, drug dealers, sex crazed heroes and director-writer Kevin Strange’s pornographic yet strangely poetic dialogue, Cockhammer also features countless euphemisms for buttholes along with more bare boobs and dicks (seeming real and rubber) and transsexual demons than you can shake a stick at. Bloody, offensive and loads of fun, Cockhammer is almost political in its anti-politicalness – gleefully making the followers (if any of them are actually watching this, that is) of the mainstream ‘anti-sex, anti-drug and anti-gay’ culture willfully squirm.

Meanwhile, Strange’s weave and bob camera work may give ‘Cloverville’-phobics a run for their money, but it perfectly imbues his subtext and gives Hack Movies a definitive milieu to create upon– ultimately making Cockhammer (and its vivid creators) a totally unique beast in an often unoriginal world.
