Wrong Turn 3 is the third installment in the Wrong Turn franchise. The original was released on the big screen in 2003 with leading lady Eliza Dushku. Despite grossing $30,000,000, the franchise was continued independently through direct-to-DVD releases thanks to Fox Home Entertainment. The sequel, released in 2007, was also a financial success and warranted a third installment.
Wrong Turn 3 was released in 2009. The synopsis, provided by NetFlix reads: “A group of friends heads for the woods, only to end up on the menu for a cannibalistic mutant known as Three Finger. Only Fonda ( Janet Montgomery ) manages to survive, and she’s soon joined by a truckload of escaped convicts also fleeing the ravenous freak. Throw in a cache of stolen money to distract the escapees and an unsuspecting search party, and it’s a virtual smorgasbord for Three Finger.”
