Uwe Boll Announces Bloodrayne 4, Before Bloodrayne 3 is Released

The Bloodrayne franchise is seeing a bit of activity lately. Bloodrayne 3: The Third Reich finished filming months ago, and despite an estimated release date of November 2010, all we’ve seen is the trailer. Well, Bloodrayne 3 has been officially picked up for distribution by Phase 4 Films and they are releasing it July 12, 2011. The film will come in at just 79 minutes. Why does that seem so short to me, based off the plot: “Half-vampire, half-human, Rayne hides in the shadows slaughtering vampires and those that get in her way. In 1943 Europe, during World War II, Rayne faces her greatest foe, a growing army of undead Nazi soldiers led by Ekart Brand, a top Nazi official turned day-walker. Rayne must team up with a group of resistance fighters to defeat Brand and his vampire army before they return to Berlin to transform Hitler into a vampire and attain immortality.”

The film will star Natassia Malthe (Dead or Alive), Clint Howard, Michael Pare, and Brendon Fletcher (Freddy vs Jason). Special features on the DVD will include alternate trailers, writer and director commentary, a digital download, and a making of featurette. Nothing too interesting there. But, what IS interesting is that Uwe Boll announced, via this article a couple weeks ago, that Bloodrayne 4 is already in the works. EW quoted him as saying, “I have two projects in development. One is BloodRayne 4, to make some money. And one is Bail Out, about the financial crisis. It’s a thriller where a guy actually strikes back and starts killing all the investment bankers.” As someone who mildly enjoyed the first film and was bored by the second, I’m not sure if I’m going to rush out to buy this. What about you, HS readers?

  1. My names Adam and im eighteen and from the uk and personaly i like the bloodrayne films there something to watch when i'm board but i prefer the first one since kristina loken is a good actress it was just the suporting cast who were crap.

The second and thrid bloodrayne films could have been so much beter if Uwe boll hadn't of directed them with a better cast a bit more action and less dialog in some scence blood rayne could be up there with the greats of action horror
