  1. Oh my dear God, “3 Slices of Life” was the worst piece of crap that I’ve ever seen (and I’m a guy who was forced to sit through “The English Patient" and more recently, "Battle: LA"). I just watched this god awful movie on VOD. I have a comfortable Lazy-Boy couch chair and my ass, nevertheless, was sore after watching it. The acting is so bad that I actually laughed when I witnessed it. The movie looks like it was filmed on an iPhone. The script is just plain stupid (I was gonna call the script “down-syndrome”-calibur retarded, but wait – that would be an insult to people with down syndrome). How does a movie like this get made from concept to finish? “3 Slices of Life” is the precise reason why so many talented-yet-failed screen writers and actors in Hollywood are found dangling from their ceiling fans every year. The only way you should watch this is if they pay YOU to do so.

  2. I'm not sure where Victor K is coming from…you do realize that this is low-budget indie horror, right?

I actually saw this film at its premiere at the Chicago Horror Society Festival and found it to be a lot of of fun and pretty creepy. The great thing about this film is that there is something for everyone in it – zombies, sex, ghosts, murderers, incestuous overtones, man-eating lady parts, and a LOT of blood…it's nearly impossible to be bored by this film! The stories themselves are a lot of fun – very reminiscent of Tales from the Crypt, Creep Show, and other 80's horror.

Overall, it's a great low-budget indie horror movie that feels like a 80's film. You won't be disappointed!

  3. Just saw this film the other day and was completely blown away by it!!!

WOW…Kudos to director Anthony G Sumner and actress Deneen Melody!!!

Check it out…You won't be disappointed!!!

  4. I suppose picking up immediate distribution and being available on VOD to over 14 million viewers isn't enough for some. Perhaps hitting the 'eject' button on their Lazy Boy might get some people out in the world more…lol!

SLICES OF LIFE is an incredibly fun and spooky film that should be seen by all!

Kudos to the super talented Anthony Sumner and Eric Richter for all their hard work! Well done!

  5. I saw 3 Slices of Life and I must admit Victor K. is entitled to his opinion, but should certainly learn how to critique a film instead of writing as if he is in a "caliber retard" class of a grade school, but this is typical with today's bloggers.

What it is, is that 3 Slices of Life is a well made low budget independent horror movie that does deserve the recognition it has been getting. It is very well written, photographed and certainly offers the viewer 3 compelling stories plus a wrap around. Each story is only gets more creepier than the last and the last story certainly delivers in all areas of horror. Being an independent filmmaker myself I always look to filmmakers who show visuals with passion, worth and care. This film certainly explores the love of horror and the use of Mis en scene (look that up Victor K.) within a shot. I wish more filmmakers would take the time to care about their projects rather than just put a camera on a tripod and hit record. 3 Slices of Life is independent filmmaking on a low budget with style, gore and love of horror.

Go ahead Victor K. retort. Or do you have to look that one up, too.
