Erik Portrait of a Living Corpse

Obsession, passion, tragedy and triumph have made French author Gaston Leroux’s The Phantom of the Opera a gothic masterpiece for the past century. The story of a horribly disfigured mad genius who dwells beneath the Paris Opera House, has captured the imaginations of filmmakers, writers and musicians for years, yet few have taken advantage of Leroux’s rich text and atmosphere.

Plot Outline
The man known to few as “Erik Shahryar” lives a miserably lonely life…. miles beneath the streets of Paris. Born frail and disfigured, this tormented, corpse-like (and sociopathic) creature is better known to Parisians as “The Opera Ghost”. Channeling his abilities as an artist and magician, he has made the Opera Garnier his home and kingdom.

Originally content posing as a mere spectre among the singers and stagehands, his plans change when he hears the voice of young singer Christine Daae (Autumn Hyun.) Now posing as “The Angel of Music”, the bestial Erik plans to make the beautiful Christine his bride, even if it means murdering anyone who stands in their way.
