Midnight Movie: The Killer Cut REVIEW

Midnight Movie: The Killer Cut can be best described as an enhanced version of the previous release of this film. It still has all the fun and energy of the original but with a few extended scenes and re-rendered effects.

For those of you who have already seen the film, the new stuff is pretty cool and rounds out some of the rough edges. If you’re a fan, you’ll appreciate the new additions, if this is your first viewing, then you’re getting the best the film makers have to offer.

Since this was my first go with the movie, I watched “The Killer Cut” first. Then I watched the original release. What’s Different? The opening sequence before the credits, set’s up the film a bit better and leaves us with a nice reveal before the credits roll. During the film, when the killer steps into and out of the movie, there are some added sound cues and visuals. Beyond that I couldn’t see much difference but the pacing overall was a bit tighter. So I’m sure there were a few extra frames left on the cutting room floor.

Midnight Movie already has a great review right here on the Horror Society website.
