MV5BMjE1NjY2Mjc2M15BMl5BanBnXkFtZTYwMTQwMjE2__V1__SX331_SY400_A week ago today actor Robert Carradine, 60, was in a horrific car crash that he was lucky to survive. According to reports, he was traveling 60 miles per hour down a Colorado highway when he suddenly veered across the dividing lane and crashed head-on into a semi-truck. Carradine, his wife, and the driver of the other vehicle were rushed to the hospital for serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Now, after going over all the facts, Carradine has been issued a citation and ticket for reckless driving, with traffic authority having found him at fault for the near fatal car crash.

Robert Carradine is most known for his roles in Revenge of the Nerds (1984), Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987), Revenge of the Nerds II: The Next Generation (1992), Revenge of the Nerds IV: Nerds in Love (1994), “Lizzie McGuire” from 2001-2004, Supercross (2005), Django Unchained (2012), and The Genius of Lincoln (2014).

Being that this is a horror website, Carradine has appeared in over 22 horror or science fiction titles including Massacre at Central High (1976), I Saw What You Did (1988), Stephen King’s The Tommyknockers (1993), Body Bags (1993), Humanoids from the Deep (1996), Lycanthrope (1999), John Carpenter’s Ghosts of Mars (2001), Attack of the Sabertooth (2005), Hoboken Hollow (2006), Tooth and Nail (2007), The Terror Experiment (2010), Slumber Party Slaughter (2012), and Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda (2014).

See, folks. This goes to show you that, when driving, keeping your eyes on the road is the most important thing. Put the food down. Put the phone down. Stop goofing around and trying to impress your passenger. According to a responding officer, Carradine and his wife would have been killed upon impact if it wasn’t for the fact that they were wearing their seatbelts. Sadly, not all of us are that lucky… and horror films aren’t real life, you don’t always come back.
