Yes an Exorcist remake has been ordered to pilot at Fox! The pilot episode is said to be inspired by William Peter Blatty’s original novel, The Exorcist.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, A modern reinvention inspired by William Blatty’s original book, The Exorcist is a propulsive, serialized psychological thriller following two very different men tackling one family’s case of horrifying demonic possession, and confronting the face of true evil.
The one-hour drama will be written by Jeremy Slater and executive produced along with James Robinson, David Robinson and Barbara Wall. 20th Century Fox Television will produce in association with Morgan Creek Productions.
