  • 1992 – Josh Hutcherson, who starred in “Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant ” and the 2008 remake of “Journey to the Center of the earth.”
  • 1968 – Hugh Jackman who played “Wolverine” in the “X-Men” films, the title role in the film “Van Helsing.” and also starred in “The Prestige.”
  • 1962 – Deborah Foreman, starred in 80’s films such as “Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat”, “Waxwork”, “April Fool’s Day”, “Destroyer” and more.
  • 1962 – Dave Legeno, who plays “Fenrir Greyback” in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” and “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.”
  • 1960 – Hiroyuki Sanada, who appeareded in ” Ringu,” “Ringu 2,” “Rasen” and the TV series “Lost.”
  • 1943 – Lin Shaye, younger sister of New Line Cinema founder Robert Shaye. She’s appeared in “Helen Keller vs. Nightwolves”, “Tales of Halloween”, “Insidious 1,2,3”, “Ouija”, “Big Ass Spider!”, “Chillerama”, “Dark Moon Rising”, “A Nightmare on Elm Street”, “Critters” and many more.
  • 1903 – Josephine Hutchinson, who played “Elsa von Frankenstein” in “Son of Frankenstein.”
  • 1875 – Aleister Crowley, infamous occultist who was widely regarded as the most wicked man in the world.

DIED ON THIS DAY IN HORROR HISTORY

  • 2007 – Noel Coleman, who appeared in the films “Edge of Sanity,” “Burke and Hare” and the TV shows “Doctor Who” and “The Avengers,” passed away at the age of 87.
  • 2002 – Sidney W. Pink, who wrote and produced such films as “Journey to the Seventh Planet,” “Reptillicus” and “The Angry Red Planet,” passed away at the age of 86.
  • 1995 – David McLean, who played the Marlboro Man on TV commercials, and appeared in the films “Kingdom of the Spiders” and “The Strangler,” passed away at the age of 73. Ironically enough, from lung cancer.
  • 1958 – Ed Hinton who appeared in the films, “The 27th Day” and “Red Planet Mars,” passed away at the age of 39.
