I love Chicago around Halloween. There’s always so many genre friendly activities going on in October it could make your head spin like Reagan from The Exorcist. If you’re looking for a way to spend your Saturday before Halloween, I’ve got just the event for you.

The Hollywood Palms Cinema, located at 352 S Route 59 in beautiful Naperville, Illinois, 60540, is screening Wes Craven’s 1984 groundbreaking classic A Nightmare on Elm Street on the big screen for one night only. Happening Saturday, October 29th, the screening will be hosted by actress, photographer, and all around renaissance woman Mimi Craven. Mimi also happens to be the ex-wife of Elm Street director/creator Wes Craven and has appeared in Swamp Thing, Chiller, as well as Nightmare on Elm Street itself.

Mimi will be there to share stories of the making of A Nightmare on Elm Street and working with Wes. Tickets can be purchased here. The film shows at 7pm and again at 9:15pm. Mimi Craven will be signing autographs and memorabilia in the theater’s lobby and will also personally introduce both shows.
