Happy Horrordays, Fiends! This Wednesday (tomorrow!) at 8pm, Horror Society presents a trashy Frankenstein movie double feature with two of the most provocative movies in the sub-genre to date! Plus, the writer behind one of the films will be a special guest with us!
Trash Movie Nite will feature back to back screenings of the 2005 cult classic Sex Machine followed by Lady Frankenstein. Sex Machine co-writer John Oak Dalton will be in attendance to talk about the making of the film and some of the other horrors he’s written for the screen!
John will also introduce Lady Frankenstein, one of his favorite modern Prometheus stories. In versions currently circulating in the public domain, Lady Frankenstein runs at 84 minutes. The full version that exists is 99 minutes, but it’s entirely in German. Well, we’ve uncovered an ultra rare 95 minute version that aired on British TV that we’ll be screening tomorrow. So you’re in for a real treat whether you’ve seen this film or not.
There will even be trivia and a Frankenstein trailer reel in between the films. Those playing along with the trivia have a chance to score some FREE holiday horror presents! Fat Cat will also be providing some food and drink specials for the night. Plus, some kickass horror themed vendors will be in house so you can pick up some spooky Christmas presents for you or your loathed ones.
