Camp Motion Pictures announced the release of EASTER SUNDAY, the final film of the late, great Robert Z’dar (Maniac Cop) in which Z’dar plays a sheriff haunted by a series of unsolved murders. When what looks like a copycat killer arrives on the scene, Arkin is determined not to let the past repeat itself, and vows to catch the new killer rabbit, whatever it takes.
Written and directed by Jeremy Todd Morehead, EASTER SUNDAY is a love letter to fans of independent, exploitation and ‘80s films, featuring some of the most astonishing gore SFX in low-budget independent cinema. And it’s a blast to watch, as its Fan Favorite Feature award at Martinsville Horrorfest attests; the film is loaded with references to horror genre classics, and even genre star Ari Lehman pops up in a small but key role. EASTER SUNDAY SYNOPSIS
A group of hard partying teenagers set out to raise some hell. Instead, they raise the DEAD.
It’s been 24 years since the deranged serial killer Douglas Fisher was executed by police on Easter night, and his gruesome story became a terrifying urban legend. Then, during a drunken campfire ritual, a group of teens accidentally conjure the spirit of Douglas Fisher… aka the bunny masked killer! Unless they can stop him before Midnight on Easter, the evil bunny slasher will tear their town and everyone in it into pieces.
So lock your doors and hide, or there will be no candy in your Easter basket – just the limbs and body parts of your family and friends! Doug Fisher kills everyone in sight, if you’re not careful he’ll take your head this Easter night.
