Slasher Horror Film Pitchfork Releases a Gorefest Comic Book Just In Time for Halloween

Plus, hours of ‘killer’ special features for its Directors Edition DVD/BLURAY

2017 is the year of the slasher with Chucky, Leatherface, Jigsaw, Samara, Creeper, Annabelle & Glenn Douglas Packard’s well-received, Film Festival Award Winning indie horror ‘Pitchfork’ is the modern day slasher with the feel of the classic horror genre. Made with only one camera and shot in just 21 days, ‘Pitchfork’ has struck a chord with film fans, horror buffs and filmmaking aficionados alike.

Despite its low-budget and guerrilla-style construction, ‘Pitchfork’ not only looks like a multimillion dollar, big studio movie but has been covered by major Hollywood publications like The Hollywood Reporter, L.A Times, Indie Wire and Deadline. Film Festivals have taken notice of ‘Pitchfork’ as well, honoring it with top awards, including Best Horror, Best Director, Best Cinematographer awards to name a few.

Like “The Blair Witch Project” and “Paranormal Activity”, “Pitchfork” is further proof that you don’t need big bucks, just a big idea and lots of drive, to make a solid genre film.

Having recently coming out to his family, Hunter recruits his friends to come with him from New York City to the farm where he grew up as he faces his parents for the first time. As the college students enjoy the fresh air of Michigan farm country, an older, more dangerous secret slowly emerges. While Hunter navigates a new place within his conservative family, a vicious creature from their past descends on the farm, putting the unsuspecting city kids in mortal danger as they start being stalked by a twisted, dark, and disturbing beast, Pitchfork.

‘Pitchfork’ is created , directed and produced by Emmy Award Nominee Glenn Douglas Packard, (Celebrity Choreographer to Michael Jackson, Pink, Usher, Missy Elliot, Ricky Martin, Daddy Yankee, Whitney Houston, Liza Minnelli, Timbaland) is no stranger to the LGBT community, Glenn has came out to the world on VH-1 smash hit ‘Brooke Knows Best’ as the breakout star and recently was seen as the gay mentor to a male revue troupe he created on the special movie documentary, aired on the E!
