SECOND ANNUAL WINDY CITY HORRORAMA FILM FEST RETURNS TO DAVIS THEATER AND PUTS OUT CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Windy City Horrorama 2019 takes place April 26th-28th and submissions are being accepted via Film Freeway.

The second annual WINDY CITY HORRORAMA will bring the horror to Lincoln Square’s Davis Theater once again next Spring on April 26th – April 28th, 2019. Horrorama is in search of the scariest and most fun work in the independent horror genre, from the Midwest and all over the world. Send your shorts and features via Film Freeway starting right now, and check the page for all submissions guidelines and deadlines.

Last year saw a slate of world premieres, regional premieres, and special repertory screenings. Highlights included a 25th anniversary screening of Adam Marcus’s JASON GOES TO HELL: THE FINAL FRIDAY, along with the Chicago premiere of his latest feature, the gory and riotous SECRET SANTA. Festival favorite RUIN ME also screened with Horrorama before premiering on Shudder this summer. A centerpiece showcase featured some of the most exciting indie horror work happening in Chicago, which included the world premiere of Jason Coffman’s debut feature HOUSESITTERS.

Horrorama 2019 plans to continue its mission of celebrating the inclusive, DIY spirit of the Midwest horror community by curating a diverse and exciting collection of films of all lengths, budgets and subgenres, paired with insightful Q&As, fun surprises and killer parties. Though we work hard to exhibit material from Chicago and the American Midwest, submissions from all over the world will be warmly accepted.

Thanks to support from HorrorSociety.com, and our new media partner DailyGrindhouse.com, Team Horrorama is thrilled to return to the Davis for another weekend long horror film bash with Chicago’s most dedicated and passionate horror fans. Save the date, and submit your films!
