Chicago Sci-Fi Short ‘Abi’ Now on Dust

After completing a successful festival run, ‘Abi’, a mind-bending short science fiction film produced and shot in Chicago, will be premiering on Gunpowder and Sky’s Dust channel October 1st.

A co-production between Crazy Little Monster Productions and p3 Mediaworks, ‘Abi’ throws audiences into the middle of a horrifying night with a team of scientists terrorized by their own creation, a biological computer prototype with the “potential to reshape our understanding of information processing and higher brain function.” When a virus in the system becomes able to infect human minds, it drives lab assistant Abi violently insane.

Directed by Timothy Troy from a script by Dan McGuire and produced by Corey Gilbert, ‘Abi’ features a stellar cast, including Rom Barkhordar, Emily Berman, and a tour de force performance by Clare Cooney as the title character, Abi. It has won awards across the United States for its Directing, Writing, Editing, Cinematography, and Effects.
