In 2010 The Walking Dead premiered on AMC and skyrocketed zombies into pop culture in a way that was never seen before. Since then the show has spawned several web-series and a spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead. I found myself burned out with the whole zombie crazy and soon dodged TWF around season four or five. I occasionally watch a zombie flick here or there but TWD really took the spark out of them for me.
Back around 2013 Burning Angel made a parody of TWD. Their horror porn flicks before this one are absolutely fantastic. Their Evil Dead parody, Evil Head, is one I always recommend to horror fans. I never got around to checking this one out but after watching Porn of the Dead I decided it was time to spin it for my Sleazy Sunday series.
**Spoiler Alert** The film follows Rick, his son and wife, and other survivors as they fight and fuck their way through the begining stages of a zombie apocalypse.**Spoiler Alert**
Burning Angel brings a lot of humor, horror, and sex to their horror parodies. They are usually fun while capturing what makes the original so much enjoyable. Re-Penetrator, Evil Head, and The XXXorcist were all well made porn parodies that paid tribute to the original while paroding it. The Walking Dead: A Hardcore Parody was no exception. It didn’t have that gritty look that TWD is known for but it had the humor and blood that we expect from a Burning Angel production.
The acting in this one is a little on the goofy side. Burning Angel took the parody aspect more seriously in this production than the previous films. The cast delivers some comical performances before the sex scenes. The sex scenes are, obviously, where they deliver what they are known for. The story for this one is pretty much the first couple episodes of TWD mashed together. However, when the group is not killing the zombies they fuck them. It was funny and entertaining but the humor and story ran it’s course before the hour mark. Once we get 40 or 50 minutes I found myself ready to move on to the next movie. There was no need for this one to be as long as it was.
Finally, the film has plenty of bloody. Most of the deaths were done by gunshot but they still looked very good. The make-up effects were good as well. The zombies look alright but nothing that stands out. Overall, The Walking Dead: A Hardcore Parody is a sleazy and highly entertaining porn parody. I’m still sick of zombies in pop culture but this one was just enough humor to tit ratio to make it enjoyable. Check it out because you will not be disappointed.
