9th Annual Scumdance Film Festival

Prepare to enter a world of bizarre underground movies as the 9th annual Scumdance Film Festival returns to The Lost Church SF (988 Columbus Avenue, SF, CA 94103) on September 27th.

Scumdance is the ultimate celebration of the weirdest and wildest micro-budget films, a realm where punks, dirtbags, metalheads, and oddballs unite to unleash their unconventional creations on an unsuspecting audience.

Scumdance returns to San Francisco, in partnership with The Lost Church SF, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization devoted to nurturing spaces for live performance.

Films being screened this year include an eclectic selection of movies that have freaked out festival audiences worldwide, including the “recycled footage” feature Dead, White & Blue (U.S.), the kink/oddity Diva (Canada), El Encantador (Spain), the canine comedy Good Boy (U.S.), the road trip nightmare of Rest Stop (U.S.), Scent Of A Shoes (Iran), Murder in the Park AKA No One Likes You (U.S.), 2024 SCUMDANCE award winner Max Radbill’s newest Soliloquy of One (U.S.) and local favorite Wet Ingredients (from Bay Area filmmakers Matthew Ragsdale & Kendy Paxia).

Join us at The Lost Church SF on September 27th for a celebration of the strange, the extraordinary, and the underground. Scumdance Film Festival promises to redefine your cinematic expectations and immerse you in the avant-garde spirit of independent cinema. For ticket information and festival updates,
