An AI Company Retreat Turns Lethal In Cineverse’s DRAGN, Coming To Digital 3/17

Cineverse (Nasdaq: CNVS), an entertainment technology company and studio, announced today that DRAGN will debut on Digital and Video on Demand on March 17, 2026. The film follows an AI company retreat which descends into chaos as a rogue drone begins targeting employees, forcing them to confront their creation and each other.

DRAGN stars James Paxton (Twisters), Lilly Krug (Plane), Carlos Bardem (Assassin’s Creed), Alice Pagani (Don’t Kill Me), Jadran Malkovich (The Ark), Franz Drameh (Legends of Tomorrow) and Alex Lane (A Very Secret Service). The film is directed by Peter Webber (Hannibal Rising), and written by Barry Hutchison (Supermansion) and Alexander Gordon Smith (The Box).

“I’m fascinated by the way that drones have completely changed warfare and the creeping machinization of everyday life,” says director Peter Webber. “Machine logic is very clean, but the human consequences are muddy, panicked, bloody and violent.”

The official synopsis is as follows: DRAGN centers on a group of co-workers on a routine corporate team-building trip, which transforms into a nightmare when they unwittingly become the prey of a rogue AI-driven drone. The film delves into the fragility of the human mind, the dangers of AI warfare, and the indomitable spirit required to confront terror in an increasingly digital world.
