Tales from Beyond the Pale Season Six Slays Its Way Through 2026
The graveyard’s open and it’s time to dig in, horror fans.
Tales from Beyond the Pale, Glass Eye Pix’s long-running radio drama, celebrated the start of its spectacular Sixth Season in November of 2025 with Joe Maggio’s The Slaughtered. With the launch of today’s 54th all-new Tale, the auteur-driven new season is well underway and ready for listeners!
Following Maggio’s season premiere, audiophiles and horror fans have found themselves haunted by Jenn Wexler’s Orpheus, Emily Bennett’s The Next Voice You Hear Will Be Your Own, and Rigo Garay’s Super!.
Writer/director Ted Geoghegan’s Everything Must Go premieres today.
Larry Fessenden and Glenn’s McQuaid’s audio series, which Bloody Disgusting calls “a surprise and a delight”, debuted in October of 2010 as an ode to classic radio dramas of the 1930s. Boasting a list of unprecedented talent and cinema-caliber sound design and performances, the series emerged as far more than a simple podcast – it was the return of the audio play, repackaged for the digital age.
Tales directors have included JT Petty, Stuart Gordon, Simon Barrett, April Snellings, Paul Solet, Jeff Buhler, Eric Red, Simon Rumley, Graham Reznick, Fessenden, McQuaid, and many more.
Among the hundreds of voice actors that have been involved in Tales from Beyond the Pale are Ron Perlman, Vincent D’Onofrio, Tony Todd, Sean Young, Pat Healy, Angus Scrimm, Joe Swanberg, Barbara Crampton, A.J. Bowen, and Joshua Leonard. Producer Fessenden portrays “The Host” in the wraparound segment of every episode.
Additional Season Six Tales are slated to burst from the dark minds of Richard Newby, Craig Ian Mann, Graham Reznick, Clay McCleod Chapman, Roxanne Benjamin, April Snellings, Fessenden, and McQuaid. New episodes land on the second Thursday of every month.
This week’s new episode, writer/director Ted Geoghegan’s Everything Must Go, whisks listeners back to the neon mall culture of the 1980s, when mom-and-pop shops suddenly found themselves swallowed up by massive shopping complexes. The nostalgia-fueled horror romp features an original synthwave score from Luke Fuller and the voice talents of Chloë Levine, Clay Von Carlowitz, Benjamin Frankenberg, Xero Gravity, Asta Paredes, and Joe Bob Briggs.
“Ted Geoghegan has been carving out a name for himself not just with incredible movies, but also as a pillar of NYC’s genre community,” says series creator Glenn McQuaid. “He brings out the best in people, and with Everything Must Go he’s brought out the best in Tales. We’re lucky to have finally dragged him Beyond the Pale.”
Adds Fessenden, “Every Tale production brings with it wonderful memories and associations. Our latest is filled with familiar faces from the Glass Eye canon, and it was such fun to all be in a room together again. The highlight, however, was when Joe Bob showed up and shared some anecdotes from his storied past. The 80’s-inspired score by the mysterious Luke Fuller, whose identity we have been unable to fully confirm (though the checks appear to have been sent to Ireland…?) reminds me of this season’s great music and amazing composers: Dave Eggar, Jack Fessenden, Graham Reznick and Antoni Maiovvi… All for you, dear listener. All for you!”
