In this issue, Ash again finds himself in the middle of supernatural turmoil. After finding that Jason’s gone on another rampage (and having to fight off a distraught father), Ash has to flee from his home and decides to find Maggie Burroughs, a psychology doctor who tried to recruit Ash in issue 1. Dr. Burroughs has been gathering survivors from the Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th movies, claiming to help them use their abilities to rid the world of Freddy and Jason for good, so it will be interesting to see how all these returning heroes who have never met in any of the movies will interact, and how Dr. Burroughs intends to help them bring down Freddy and Jason. Meanwhile, Director Russell and his team use the Necronomicon to bring Freddy back to the land of the living, so they can question him on how he gained the ability to control the dream world.
Though this issue had a lot of good action with Jason, it seemed to move a bit slowly plot-wise, though the ending left a hook that promises excitement in later issues.
