CAYCE, S.C. (AP) — A horror film written and directed by Columbia native Chuck Fallaw will be the first movie to shoot at a new production facility in Cayce.
According to Movie Tao Productions’ Web site, “1.8 Days” is the story of five people who want each other dead, but who have to band together to take on a common enemy.
Producer Josh Dease says shooting the movie at Genesis Studios in the city just across the Congaree River from downtown Columbia will show people that his hometown has everything feature filmmakers need.
Genesis Studios president Cliff Springs says his advertising company primarily makes commercials. But he built the 15,000-square-foot facility in the hopes of attracting TV and film production.
