Be ‘Among Friends’ With Danielle Harris

Danielle Harris, who is one of the most recognized faces in horror film, is taking her career in the industry one step further. Danielle is set to make her solo directoral debut in a new horror-comedy called Among Friends. Miss Harris previously codirected a horror film called Prank. Taken from the Among Friends website, the plot is described as: “horror (and a comedy, depending on how twisted you are) about a dinner party gone wrong. Set against an 80s backdrop, the good time takes a dark turn when one in the group hijacks the evening in an attempt to help the others come clean about their secret betrayals against one another–and is willing to cut through the bone in order to expose the truth.”

Among Friends was written by Alyssa Lobit and will star Christopher Backus, Jennifer Blanc (Puncture), AJ Bowen (The House of The Devil), Dana Daurey (The Victim), Brianne Davis (ChromeSkull: Laid To Rest 2), Chris Meyers, Kamala Jones, and horror icon Kane Hodder. The film will also feature appearences from Danielle Harris and Alyssa Lobit. The film is being touted as a film featuring actors and actresses who really are friends, hence the name. Despite being in postproduction, IMDB lists Among Friends as having a 2013 release date. I hope we won’t have to wait that long to see how Danielle fairs as a horror film director.

But, if you’re as anxious as I am, then click here to watch the teaser trailer on YouTube! It kind of looks like it would be a horror film that would premiere on MTV with some sick and twisted elements added in. Still, it’s too early to make an assumptions so I will keep an eye out for future updates on this upcoming film.
