Horror Sales: Indie film ‘Intruders’ debuts, horror/scifi shows on the rise.

Box office numbers, DVD sales, and television viewership for the week of March 30 to April 5, 2012.

As more horror and scifi films fall off the chart (which means they leave theaters), the only ray of hope comes with horror-thriller Intruders, which debuted at the #47 spot this week. Also, next week Joss Whedon’s Cabin In The Woods will be released to theaters.

27 17 Silent House $244,000 (Total: $12,440,000)

29 30 The Woman In Black $212,000 (Total: $54,005,000)

31 27 Chronicle $185,000 (Total: $63,810,000)

47 Intruders $57,000

50 48 Gone $44,000 (Total: $11,596,000)

DVD Top 30 Chart. That’s all there is to say here…

25 26 Real Steel $448,000 (Total: $23,153,000)
