Small excerpt from an interview with the director/lead actor recently that cought my interest:

“I can safely say that “Craig” is the most work I’ve ever done, but that’s because the filming has been going on for such a long time, plus I’m directing it myself. We started filming in March 2006 and didn’t finish completely until July 2007. Since it’s a lowbudget film we had to do it this way, but we’ve been editing at the same time, and right as I write this we’re putting the last work on the sound editing so we expect it to be out within the next few months. It’s been an interesting process and very challenging. It’s a film I’ve always wanted to make, horror inspired, and I’m a huge David Lynch film, I simply love Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive, so I felt very inspired by that. At the same time I’ve always wanted to do a serial killer movie and thought it would be interesting to give some background to why this guy is the way he is. I hope people will like it. We’ve been extremely fortunate with it, we have several wellknown actors in it, and Troma’s Lloyd Kaufman doing a cameo as The Voice inside Craig’s head barking orders at him. I guess that shows pretty much that the film is far from stripped from humor, haha. That’s something that means a lot to me, nomadder how serious a film is, it should always contain elements of humor and this one does indeed, although very crude and dark humor. We were also very fortunate to be able to have musical support from a lot of upcoming bands, like Apoptygma Berzerk, Centhron, Halo In Reverse, Kontrust, Blyndfold Mary, not to forget Cyanide Saviour, where the lead singer Manoush also makes a special appearance in a Lynch inspired scene. Most of the score is composed by a new talented film maker and music artist from the UK, Russ Diaper, who also has a role in the film, it gives the – in my mind – perfect soundpicture.”
