Magical Matt Sardo, owner and the truly demented mind behind Comic Vault in Chicago, is brightening up this yawning chasm of winter slop and giving not only horror fans – but geeks in general – something to cheer about. Winter Con 2010 is back at da’ Vault, 1530 W. Montrose in Chicago, on February 20th – 21st. (Running from noon to 8 pm each day!)
Featuring prizes, cheap comics and a cornucopia of artistic talent, Winter Con is a must do for all desperately creative freaks. Of special note to limb spewing enthusiasts, Tim Seeley, creator of Hack/Slash, Halloween Night Dance and other face peeling works, will be the featured guest from 12 pm – 2 pm on Saturday with talented Marvel artist Chris Burnham, the inventive Kristen Koerner Simon and Jesus Hates Zombies’ Jeff Balke filling in some of the other anxiously penciled spots.
So, hop a freighter, piggy back that bum – just get there how you must!
