Thank god this movie is still chugging along!
Back in May I was treated to a digital screener of The Possession Experiment, a found footage narrative film mash-up where a young college student invites himself to become possessed by a particularly violent entity all in the name of science. As you would expect, things do not go as planned and several lives are ruined during the course of the experiment. I gave the movie a near perfect score, also calling it “clever, gripping and haunting,” “chilling, freaky and triumphant,” as well as “scary, unpredictable and enthralling.” Hopefully, you guys can read my review in full soon.
I hadn’t heard much news from Scott Hansen and Mary Dixon, the masterminds behind the film, until recently. Earlier today it was announced that The Possession Experiment has officially completed the editing process and a new promotional poster, featured top left, has been unveiled in celebration of this success. It won’t be long now until you guys can get a glimpse at one of the film’s I’m most anticipating in 2016.
The Possession Experiment is written and directed by Scott Hansen with co-writer and executive producer Mary Dixon. Cast members include Bill Moseley (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, Devil’s Rejects), Greg Travis (Humanoids from the Deep, Rob Zombie’s H2), Chris Minor, Jake Brinn, Nicky Jasper, Angelo Reyes, Terry Jernigan, Rachel Faulkner, Ryan Ware and Kt Fanelli.
