Invasion of the Not Quite Dead

AN AMBITIOUS young graduate from the International Film School Wales has won the backing of Oscar-winning director Ken Russell to raise £100,000 for a new zombie movie.

The eccentric Russell, who bagged an Academy Award for the Oliver Reed-starring Women In Love in 1969, was so impressed by 30-year-old Anthony Lane’s film, Invasion of the Not Quite Dead, that he agreed to be the consulting executive producer for it, as well as volunteering himself to make a blood- splattered cameo appearance as one of the walking dead.

“Ken told me he hates making big-budget films because there are always 20 different people who have to have a say, and none of them want to listen to him,” said Lane from the IFSW, part of the Newport School of Art, Media and Design at the University of Wales.
