Keisha Tillis Talks ‘Walking’ as Morgan’s Wife & Aftermath

*Keisha Tillis is an actress who is currently most recognized for her role in “Days Gone Bye,” the first episode of The Walking Dead. Keisha’s appearance on the debut episode of the series was watched by almost 5.5 milion Americans. Not so unexpectedly, horror fans welcomed Keisha with open arms into the horror genre for her portrayal of a zombie that almost seemed to have some sort of memory retention. Some fans were even lucky enough to check her out last weekend at the annual Monster-Mania convention in New Jersey. This interview will focus primarily on Keisha’s episode as well as the aftermath it had on TV viewers. Make sure to give it a good read!

You appear in the first episode of The Walking Dead. Way back when, did you have any idea the series as a whole would be as prolific as it is now?

I did not know that it would be as huge as it is however; I had an idea that it was going to be something well put together because of the director, Frank Darabout!

Just to refresh fans and readers, can you tell me a little bit about your role in the episode?

Two words, “Door Knob”, or let’s try, “He can’t shoot!!!” These are the two most memorable moments for my character. I am Morgan’s zombie wife.

I see that you have been making appearances at Horror Conventions. Why do you think fans have been so receptive and captivated by your role as Morgan’s Wife?

What I have heard mostly from the fans of the show is that I am the first zombie to make them cry and terrify them at the same time. I think it’s because of production and great acting! People completely believed the moment. I am so grateful for that! That is why I do what I do.

How has your television appearance in The Walking Dead influenced your life?

Am I authorized to write a book?! LOL! I have to say that this experience on The Walking Dead has given me the opportunity to come to know some beautiful people. I am truly grateful for my horror fans! If it were not for my exposure on The Walking Dead, I would not have known that you all existed! YOU GUYS ARE GREAT! Thank you for loving me!

Would you consider reprising your role again in the future?

Absolutely!!

Speaking of the future, what are your plans for the future in terms of your career as an actress?

My plans are to continue to work and stay employed! Lol! I want to continue to put out material that can affect people and make a LASTING impression. It’s my calling.

Is there anything you’d like to say to the people who will read this?

Yes! I would like to hear from you all! If you have any further questions or would like to know of future projects please visit my page, https://pro.imdb.com/name/nm1961756. You can facebook me also. There can be some tough days in this business and your comments and expressions are what I keep in the forefront of my mind. It motivates me to follow destiny!

Favorite horror film:

Candyman! It scared the Hell out of me! You can fill in the blank with your expression. *I simply went with ‘Hell because my mind started to run wild here…*

*Any fans of Keisha should check her out on Facebook here; this way you can watch for any future updates in her career as well as any other appearances she’ll be making at horror conventions. An episode of Locked Up: Abroad just aired this month featuring Keisha Tillis & Noree Victoria (Quarantine 2). It will probably be re-broadcast several times so make sure you keep an eye out for it. It’s definitely safe to say, life will never be the same for “America’s Favorite Zombie,” and who knows… As Keisha said to me, “She’s still walking,” and maybe she’ll walk again in season two???
