CHICAGO! Horror Society is Bringing a New Twice a Month Screening Series to You

Come see what we scare up at Carbon Arc in Lincoln Square

I am proud and excited to announce a new screening series I’ll be hosting for Horror Society twice a month over at Carbon Arc Bar in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. Attached to the beautiful and historic Davis Theater, Carbon Arc is a bar made for cinema lovers. Featuring inspired cocktails and delicious food, Carbon Arc fits right in with the other venues Horror Society calls home.

This twice a month event, simply called Horror Society at Carbon Arc, will be happening in addition to Trash Movie Nites at Fat Cat Chicago and Rising Talent at Bucket O Blood Books and Records. Carbon Arc is located at 4614 N Lincoln, Chicago, Illinois 60625.

What we’ll be doing there each month is either showing a film connected to a wide release the week of its screening (which sometimes you’ll be able to see at The Davis) or shining a light on an indie or forgotten classic. After the film you’ll be treated to a trailer reel of similarly related films. Following that, we’ll have an open informal discussion about each week’s topic. It’ll be a great way to meet like-minded folks in the horror community.

For our inaugural event happening this Sunday, May 21st, we will be screening William Malone’s CREATURE aka Titan Find. So of course our topic will be ripoffs of Ridley Scott’s Alien franchise! The event will begin at 8:30pm.

Entry is free so come hungry, thirsty and ready for some classic horror. We’ll be giving away a good chunk of FREE stuff from both the Davis/Carbon Arc and us. Bring as many friends as you can. Let’s show Lincoln Square and Carbon Arc how horror fans party!
