Indiegogo Campaign For Scottish Horror Short THE TELLING

Directed by Stewart Hamilton, The Telling is a short horror film inspired by British supernatural dramas of the 1970s and 1980s like Children of the Stones, Day of the Triffids, The Quatermass Conclusion and The Stone Tape.

As this is a short film we can’t give too much away, but The Telling is a horror tale about a woman who returns to her hometown after 20 years away. While she has changed, the town remains eerily familiar and a meeting with an old school friend compounds her feeling of dread. Suffice to say, things take a turn for the worse.

The Telling is an original supernatural story which aims to capture the eerie atmosphere of those classic British programmes, but with a strong sense of historical attachment to it’s Scottish landscape.

The Telling is the second short film directed by long time horror fan Stewart Hamilton. His first, The Seeker, was completed in March 2017 and is currently doing the international festival circuit. So far, it has made the official selection at the Snake Alley Festival of Film based in Burlington, Iowa.

Stewart will also compose and produce the soundtrack for the Telling under the name S.T.R.S.G.N
